Dextrose Tryptone Broth is a non-selective medium which can support the growth of a variety of mesophilic and thermophilic microorganisms. It contains the pH indicator bromcresol purple. Inoculated filter membranes are incubated on this medium at 55°C to detect and enumerate thermophilic "flat sour" sporulating microorganisms. Dextrose Tryptone Broth is a broth medium used for the cultivation of "FLAT SOUR" organisms related to the spoilage of food products. (Alpha Biosciences # D04-111-500gm)
