Product Overview
Mixed Cellulose Esters (MCE) membrane is a popular filter media for many applications in the microbiological examination of water, wastewater, pharmaceuticals, food and beverages and air monitoring. MCE membranes offer high recovery rates and superior flow rates. Black and Green membranes help to minimize eye fatique by providing a contrasting background for counting light colored particulates.
Contrasting grid lines facilitate counting colonies and are tested to assure freedom from grid line inhibition. 3.1mm squares represent 1/100 of the filtration area of a 47mm diameter filter (9.6cm2). Membranes are sterilized by ethylene oxide (EtO) gas and are available as individually wrapped or 10-pack envelopes. Advantec pleated band packaging is compatible with Membrane Butler and various membrane dispensers.
Advantec membranes were developed and manufactured to comply with the ASTM and Standard Methods for the Examination of Water and Wastewater. Membrane specifications and lot number are printed on each filter's envelope. Quality control tests are performed on each lot and QA Certificates are available.
